See what a little motion can do.

Two original images, two AI-generated clips. Compare the starting image with the video, then try the same direction with your own artwork.

Original anime landscape with a rural station, sunlit trees and a blue sky
Original image
AI-generated video · Silent

Let the landscape breathe.

Leaves sway and clouds drift while the station stays in place. A single, gentle movement gives this anime landscape a sense of time.

A calm anime summer landscape. A warm breeze softly sways the leaves in the foreground, sunbeams shimmer through the canopy, white clouds drift slowly above the rural station. Locked camera, restrained natural movement, preserve the architecture and composition.

Original illustration of a warmly lit bookshop on a rainy evening with a sleeping orange cat
Original image
AI-generated video · Silent

Turn a still into a rainy afternoon.

Rain, puddles and a curl of steam bring the bookshop illustration to life. The direction keeps the sleeping cat, shelves and warm lighting steady.

View the motion prompt

Animate this cozy anime bookshop scene. Fine rain falls outside the window, small circular ripples spread across the puddles, and a thin curl of steam rises from the teacup. The orange cat stays curled up asleep. Preserve the shelves, umbrella, warm amber lighting and 2D painted style. Locked camera, subtle peaceful movement.

From still image to moving scene.

01

Start with your image

Upload, drop or paste a JPG, PNG or WebP under 10 MB. Choose a clear image with a well-defined subject and a little space around it.

02

Choose how it moves

Pick a motion preset, then adjust the camera or intensity if you wish. Keep the original style by default. A written prompt is optional.

03

Generate, watch, refine

Choose a video model and review the credit cost before starting. Play your clip, download the MP4, or make another version with gentler movement.

Give your artwork room to move.

An AI image animator works best with a clear subject and a small, specific direction. Start with less motion, then build from there.

Characters & portraits

Try a natural blink or a soft breath. Keep the camera locked and avoid asking for speech or a large turn; faces, hands and fine linework are easier to disturb.

Make a cartoon portrait

Illustrations & scenery

Choose one moving detail: leaves in the wind, a drifting cloud or steam from a cup. Name what should stay still so buildings and painted shapes hold together.

Create an anime image

Photos & camera moves

Use a slow push-in to add depth without asking the subject to act. Upload a clear, uncropped subject; the video frame follows your image, so crop it first if needed.

A useful prompt says two things.

What moves, and what stays still. You do not need to describe everything that is already in your image.

“Let the hair and leaves move in a light breeze. Keep the face, hands and camera still.”

A few good questions.

How can I animate an image with AI?

Upload your picture, choose a motion preset and select a video model. You can generate with no written prompt, or add a specific direction. Maxsa AI uses your image as the starting frame and creates a short video.

Can I animate anime art, drawings and photos?

Yes. Use anime illustrations, cartoon characters, drawings or photos. Keep original style is the default; you can choose an illustrated look if you want a different treatment. A clear subject and one simple motion are a good starting point.

Do I need to write a prompt?

No. Your image and the selected preset are enough. For more control, describe only what should move and what should stay still, such as “let the hair move gently; keep the face and camera still.”

Will my character and composition stay the same?

Maxsa AI instructs the model to preserve identity, proportions and composition. Generative video can still change fine details. Start with subtle motion and a locked camera, then review faces, hands and edges before sharing.

How long are the animations?

Duration and resolution depend on the video model. The default LongCat model creates approximately 4.3-second clips at 480p; other models offer different options. Review the model, available settings and credit cost in the studio before you generate.

Is this an animated GIF or a video?

The result is an MP4 video that you can preview and download. The default model and these examples are silent; audio is available only where the selected model offers it. GIF export and guaranteed seamless loops are not included.

Is the AI image animator free?

You can explore the presets and examples without paying. Generation uses credits; your available balance and the exact generation cost are shown before you start. See the pricing page for current plans.

How is this different from Image to Video?

This page is designed for bringing existing artwork to life with ready-made motion presets and a focus on preserving its look. Image to Video offers a general workflow for broader visual directions. For connected scenes, use Story to Video.

My generation is stuck or failed. What should I do?

Check the task status and give a queued job time to finish before starting another generation. If it stays stuck, email support@maxsa.ai with the tool name, approximate time, task ID if available, and a screenshot of the error. Please do not send passwords, sign-in codes or API keys.

How can I contact Maxsa AI?
